Natural Learning

Last week I gave a presentation for The Design School for Regenerating the Earth, hosted by Penny Heipel. Defining and presenting an overview of natural learning in 30 minutes was a major challenge, but the subsequent quality of conversation was worth the effort. I am grateful to have something positive to focus on in this challenging time.  I posted the session under The Book if you want to join the session.  I also hope to activate this blog again as a platform for discussion and sharing. 
An educational system that creates winners and losers is a major factor behind our current crisis- the violence breaking out in our schools, the division in our body politic. Yet I do not hear it mentioned in the endless commentaries about the recent election.  Take a deep breath. We were all born with this amazing human capacity for learning. It's how we've survived through the millenia. If we awaken this capacity within ourselves and support it in our children, perhaps we can begin to reconnect with the living earth (which our lives depend on) and with each other - in communities that encircle and support all members. I hope you are inspired to work for this future. I'd love to hear how you are doing and what you are doing to prepare for the weeks and months ahead.  Onward.
