Educating Our Children
Our children are our most precious resource. Protecting and nurturing this resource is an awesome responsibility shared by teachers and parents. We understand now that our actions and words and the experiences we create literally shape and determine not only the minds and hearts of our children, but also the future of our society. Will our children be vibrant, creative thinkers and problem solvers, capable of empathy and collaboration as well as individual achievement? Or will our children’s innate capacities be stunted, their voices and questions silenced, their contributions frustrated or deterred in an increasingly depleted and repressive world?
Through my blog and my book I hope to share widely what I have learned from children about what they need to thrive and love learning.
